SUMO ON TELEVISION / 2026.10.15
An archived programme preview for 16 October 2026. TNC now marks this broadcast as finished; this article is not a report based on watching the episode.
What might a meal reveal about life away from the dohyo? The TNC programme page lists Naruto stable’s barbecue in Uwasa no Okyakusama for Friday, 16 October 2026, starting at 8 p.m. Japan time. On 17 October, the page marked the broadcast as finished. The description below comes from the broadcaster’s preview, not from our observation of the programme.
The broadcaster's preview places the meal on the stable's rooftop, with donated meat and seafood. It also mentions chilled chanko prepared by stablemaster Naruto, the former ozeki Kotooshu, and a yoghurt sauce.
One way into the story is to notice who prepares a dish, rather than focusing only on quantities. Remembering one wrestler from the meal may give you someone to look for in a future bout.
Reruns, catch-up streaming and overseas availability have not been confirmed here. The archived listing is evidence of the programme date, not a promise that the episode is currently available to watch.
