Three-question wrestler feature
The three-question feature on this English site creates its result in your browser. Its counter records daily totals for page displays and actions such as starting, displaying a result, opening an article link, or using the sharing and image-save buttons. Individual answers and wrestler selections are not sent to or saved by this counter.
The aggregate records contain only the Japan Standard Time date, traffic category, action label and count. They do not contain visitor identifiers, IP addresses, cookies, answers or notebook notes. These are action counts for this feature, not numbers of people, sitewide page views, completion rates, completed social posts, bookings or revenue. Repeated actions and automated requests can increase the counts. The infrastructure records described above are separate.
The counter introduced on October 10, 2026 retains regular totals for the current Japan Standard Time date and the previous 44 dates. Test totals are stored separately and cover today and yesterday. Older totals are removed when the next accepted event is received, so removal may be delayed during periods without activity. Any totals recorded before the change remain separately as historical records, are no longer updated, and are not subject to the new counter’s retention window.
Traffic is grouped as Instagram, X, direct/internal/unknown, or other, using link tags or available referrer information. Direct/internal/unknown includes visits whose source is unavailable. The old direct category could also include other external referrals, so source totals before and after the change are not directly comparable.
Saving a result image or copying its text happens on your device. Sharing on X opens a posting screen for you to review; it does not publish automatically. X handles information on its own service under its own policies.
Observation notebooks
The observation notebook in English research journal #010 saves your chosen observation points and written notes in local browser storage on your device. The notebook does not send them to us, publish them or synchronize them between browsers or devices. You can delete saved notes in the notebook; clearing your browser data also removes them. Our Japanese observation notebooks work in the same way.
Limited guide-use counts on the Japanese site
On two Japanese pages—“Your first sumo visit” and “Where to stay for a Kokugikan trip”—we count page displays and activation of selected internal hotel-guide links to improve the guidance. We store only daily totals by fixed page and action categories on our site. We do not record individual browsing histories, input text, notebook actions or notes, quiz answers or visitor identifiers. This counting feature does not use cookies or browser storage.
Regular totals cover the current Japan Standard Time date and the previous 44 dates; test totals cover today and yesterday. Older totals are removed when the next event is received. The administrator can erase these totals. Browsers signalling DNT or GPC are excluded. These are action counts on two pages, not visitor numbers, return rates, sitewide page views, bookings or commission.
Links to other websites
We link to external websites as sources and to introduce relevant services. Information on those websites is handled by their operators under their own policies. Please review the destination website’s privacy information before providing personal information.

We do not currently serve Google AdSense ads or use Google Analytics on this website. If we introduce those services, an on-site contact form, or similar features, we will update this page to explain the information involved, its purposes, and relevant choices based on the features actually used.
