We are still waiting for September sumo, and next year’s stationery has already arrived in the news. On September 10, the Japan Sumo Association announced its 2027 diary and calendar.
Two different ways to plan
| Item | Price including tax | Announced availability |
|---|---|---|
| 2027 Sumo Diary | ¥1,000 | On sale through SuMALL |
| 2027 Grand Sumo Calendar | ¥1,100 | Preorders through SuMALL |
The diary includes tournament and advance ticket-sale dates, alongside sumo reference material. Follow the shop links in the official announcement for stock, shipping and delivery details. Do not assume that a preorder will ship immediately.
Circle two dates, not just one
My suggestion is to mark both the day you hope to attend and the day tickets become available. A beautifully clear tournament date is little help if the sale date slips past unnoticed. You can do this in a calendar you already own; the useful part is making the two steps visible.
If you are planning your first visit, our first-visit guide is the next stop. Think about the day you want before filling a shopping basket.
Checked September 10, 2026. This is an announcement guide, not a hands-on product review. Overseas shipping availability must be checked with the seller.
