Day 4 of the September tournament is complete. In the final bout, Takayasu defeated Yokozuna Onosato, while Kotozakura reached four wins from four. Here is a look back at the day, with all 20 Makuuchi and 14 Juryo results.

Three things to remember from Day 4
Takayasu beats the Yokozuna; Kotozakura makes it four straight
In the final bout, Takayasu defeated Onosato by tsukitaoshi, a frontal thrust down. Takayasu moved to 2–2, while Onosato finished the day at 3–1. Hakunofuji also handed Aonishiki his first loss of the tournament, winning by oshidashi, a frontal push out.
Kotozakura beat Gonoyama by uwatenage, an overarm throw, to reach 4–0. Kirishima defeated Kotoeiho by yorikiri, a frontal force out, and stands at 3–1. Some wrestlers extended their winning starts; others picked up their first win. Each wrestler’s record is included in the tables below.
Ura wins by push out; Asanoyama by overarm throw
Two bouts from our pre-bout viewing notes ended with Ura beating Nishikifuji by oshidashi and Asanoyama beating Oshoma by uwatenage. Both Ura and Asanoyama finished Day 4 at 3–1.
Wakamotoharu also moved to 3–1 after beating Shishi by yoritaoshi, a frontal crush out. Asakoryu, meanwhile, lost to Toshinofuji by uwatenage, leaving both men at 3–1. You can find the records of the wrestlers you are following in the tables below.
Four unbeaten wrestlers in Juryo, and a first win for Tamawashi
In Juryo, Kayo, Kagayaki, Kitanowaka and Daiseizan are all 4–0. Daiseizan and Kazekeno entered their meeting unbeaten; Daiseizan won by oshidashi. Kitanowaka defeated Ryuden by yoritaoshi.
Tamawashi earned his first win of the tournament, beating Kyokukaiyu by kotenage, an armlock throw. Hitoshi defeated Enho by oshitaoshi, a frontal push down, leaving both at 2–2.
