A pre-bout guide to Day 11, with three featured meetings and the full pairing list. Records are through Day 10.
Onosato × Fujinokawa

Onosato 9–1; Fujinokawa 8–2
The final bout brings together the 9–1 leader and an 8–2 pursuer. Watch Onosato’s forward pressure and Fujinokawa’s attempt to enter low. The first step and the placement of the hands may tell us who has found a comfortable distance before their chests meet.
Kirishima × Atamifuji

Kirishima 5–5; Atamifuji 8–2
Kirishima enters with an even record; Atamifuji already has eight wins. Both are comfortable in close quarters. Before any belt grip is secured, watch how they place an inside arm and deny the other man room. Those small exchanges can shape the forward drive that follows.
Ura × Toshinofuji

Ura 7–3; Toshinofuji 6–4
Ura needs one more win for kachikoshi. His opponent is the tall top-division newcomer Toshinofuji. Watch the distance between Ura’s low entry and Toshinofuji’s longer reach: where is the smaller man’s head, and where can the taller man establish contact? The direction of their footwork matters too.
