September 2026 profile. Ranks, measurements and the six-tournament breakdown below reflect the Japanese article’s source check on 11 September 2026.

Enho’s official measurements are 167 cm and 107 kg, and his listed strengths are a left-hand-inside grip and underarm throws. Yet the most common winning technique in his six-tournament breakdown is oshidashi, a frontal push-out, at 31%. If I watch a smaller wrestler only for throws, I might miss those wins that come from moving forward.
What happens after he gets underneath?
Shitatenage, an underarm throw, and yorikiri, a force-out, follow at 13% each. When he gets beneath an opponent’s arms, do the other wrestler’s feet stop, or does the opponent bring their body closer? From there, does Enho drive forward or find room for a throw? His announced opening-day opponent, Hatsuyama, is 195 cm tall. I am interested less in the difference in height than in how the space between them disappears.
Eight wins in July, then Juryo 9 for September
Enho finished July at 8–7 from West Juryo 11 and was ranked East Juryo 9 for September. He made his professional debut in March 2017, reached makuuchi in May 2019 and has a career-high rank of Maegashira 4. In the official questionnaire, he names athletes born in the same Japanese school year as him, the 1994 cohort, among those he supports. That answer gives me a small connection to follow beyond the sumo ring.
