Six bouts to revisit

Onosato vs Aonishiki

Onosato won by tsukidashi. Both entered the closing bout at 11–3; Onosato finished 12–3 and took the championship, while Aonishiki finished 11–4. No extra makuuchi playoff was needed.

Takayasu vs Fujiryoga

Fujiryoga won by sukuinage to finish 8–7 and secure a winning record. Takayasu finished 7–8 after both entered the final day at 7–7.

Atamifuji vs Fujinokawa

Fujinokawa won by sukuinage and finished 11–4. Atamifuji finished 8–7. Fujinokawa also received a Fighting Spirit Prize.

Kitanowaka vs Kagayaki

Kitanowaka won by oshitaoshi, leaving both wrestlers at 11–4. Kayo joined them in a three-way playoff. Kitanowaka then beat Kagayaki and Kayo in succession to take the juryo championship.

Tamawashi vs Kayo

Kayo won by hikiotoshi to reach 11–4 and enter the title playoff. Tamawashi finished 10–5. The championship went to Kitanowaka; Kayo’s regular-bout record remains 11–4.

Enho vs Kyokukaiyu

Kyokukaiyu won by yorikiri to finish 8–7 and secure a winning record. Enho finished 7–8. Both had entered this bout at 7–7.
