The Japan Sumo Association added Katano to its winter-tour schedule on 8 September 2026. The event is listed for Wednesday, 9 December, at Iki Iki Land Katano in Osaka Prefecture.
Check which ticket sale applies to you
The organiser announces a priority sale for Katano residents from 10:00 on 11 September to 17:00 on 17 September. This is a resident sale; check eligibility rather than treating it as general admission sales. Read the organiser’s current notice for the applicable sale.
Choose a part of the day to enjoy
The provisional programme lists doors opening at 09:00, top-division and yokozuna ring ceremonies from 13:10, and the bow ceremony and finish at 14:30. Practice is also advertised. Both the programme and participating wrestlers may change.
Our planning suggestion: decide whether morning practice or afternoon bouts matter more to you, then work backwards to an arrival time. You do not need to stay all day to enjoy a visit.
Pack for this venue
The organiser requires indoor footwear in the first-floor arena and says there is no general parking. Check the current transport and venue instructions before travelling.
