Profile snapshot: 11 September 2026. Ranks, measurements and the six-tournament technique figures below are those recorded for this September guide.

“I’ll do my best tomorrow” is Kayo’s favourite saying in the official questionnaire. That answer lets my shoulders relax a little. In the ring, though, oshidashi leads his winning techniques at 40%.
Can he keep pushing after the opponent’s upper body rises?
His official measurements are 174 cm and 168 kg. In the Association’s six-tournament figures, yorikiri at 13% and oshitaoshi at 10% follow oshidashi. The point of contact changes between reaching toward a low opponent and pushing one whose upper body has risen. Beyond the initial impact, I want to see whether his feet follow that change.
From Naha, with reading and Sagan Tosu among his interests
He finished July 7–8 at west juryo 12 and kept the same rank for September. He debuted in May 2022, reached juryo in July 2024 and entered makuuchi in May 2025. In the official questionnaire, he names reading as a hobby, Sagan Tosu as the team he supports and ONE PIECE among his favourite works. He comes from Naha, Okinawa.
