The September 2026 tournament ran from September 13 to 27. For a future visit, start with the official information for your tournament and date; opening times, available tickets and venue rules can differ.
Booking for January 2027 or later? The Japan Sumo Association has announced revised admission prices. Check the official revision table (Japanese PDF) and the sales page for your tournament before setting a budget. QR tickets
Use the valid QR ticket screen, not a screenshot or printout. Follow Ticket Oosumo’s distribution instructions for companions.
No device? Come with the purchaser who has a device and speak to staff before entry, as the ticket service instructs. This is particularly relevant for children travelling with an adult.
The actual admission QR appears from midnight Japan time (JST) on the event day. Check the booking and account in advance, then open the valid code on the day before leaving for the venue. Pack the correct charging cable.

When should I arrive?
There is no one correct time. Around 1:00 p.m. is a useful starting point for many first-time visitors.
Choose the bout or ceremony you most want to see, then allow time for the entrance, finding your seat and a break. Check the programme for your tournament rather than reusing another tournament’s times.
